While “Symbiosis” wraps up the concept of the album, “Faux Pas” is one last stinger. While the rest of the album worries about politicians and the like, “Faux Pas” is a attack on the media. Leading news sources choosing to ignore important issues, and instead running popular and controversial stories for views. This is our personal fuck you to every news source that does this.
So do not give up hope.
Do not give into the fear of being alone.
Darkness will always be there.
But you must be the light that prevails.
So go now.
For you have spent too long in the dark.
You’ll see us standing in the pyre below
That you put us through
From the pits of hell you can see them all
Staring back at you
Won’t catch us drowning our sorrows
In the night bleeding
We’ll bathe in showers of misery
Look in the mirror
In time, you’ll finally come to see
The very thing you swore to not be
And now you’ll witness the fateful end
To your empire
And then you’ll wonder just what has become
Of your followers
They’d sooner die than adhere to you
And you can believe it
The age of the mortals has ended
What has become of you?
Now you’ll see what you’ve become
The one who failed and then succumbed
You lived in darkness you failed to perceive
But now you can see yourself on the big screen
You left us here all alone
With no remorse
You left us all there in the dark
But now you can see yourself
Be torn apart
You’ll slowly fade until you’re gone
Just take a breath and relax
We’ll take you through show the way
You can trust us
Leave us alone
You have failed
Can’t you see?
Can you tell me
How we got here?
Can you show me how we
Lost our way?
